The site

The site is a personal website by Carter Cole with writing and projects. It is provided for information, and I may change it, suspend it or remove content at any time.

Content and licence

The writing, design and code on the site are © Carter Cole unless noted otherwise. You may read and share links to it, and quote short excerpts with attribution. Code in projects carries the licence stated in its repository. Anything else needs my written permission.

Accounts

Sign-in is optional and uses a third-party provider. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping it secure. I can suspend or remove access at any time, for example for abuse.

Acceptable use

Don't attack, overload, scrape at a harmful rate, probe for vulnerabilities without permission, impersonate others, or use the site to break the law. To report a security issue, email carter@cartercole.com.

Privacy

How the site measures visits and what it collects if you opt in is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

No warranty

The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. Opinions and technical writing are not professional advice, and may be out of date or wrong.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the site. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
